NAHU:
Ryan Thorn was named to the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) Board of Trustees as president at the 84th Annual Convention and Exhibition inScottsdale, Arizona.
“Ryan has been a strong voice to support affordable healthcare legislation and to make sure that policymakers protect American families and businesses as we move forward with ACA implementation,” said Janet Trautwein, NAHU CEO. “He is devoted to using his knowledge and passion to make sure health insurance agents have the information they need to best serve their clients.”
Thorn, president of Ryan P. Thorn Insurance Planning, Inc., has worked for many years to improve the health insurance industry through his extensive legislative work. On May 9, 2013, Thorn testified before the House Business Subcommitteeon Health and Technology on the impact of the ACA health insurance fee on small businesses. A member of NAHU since 1993, he has served as chair of NAHU’s Education Foundation, an advisor for the Young Agent Health Underwriters committee, a member of the Leading Producers Round Table and a regional vice president. He has also received numerous awards and recognitions for his legislative work from professional organizations and the Utah state legislature.
